Frequently Asked Questions

  • How can I register?
    You can register online from the website by clicking here.
  • Can I register for both days?
    Yes, you can! But make sure you register for each day separately. Day 1: Thursday, 23/01/2025 - Sunset Run and Kids Run. Day 2: Friday, 24/01/2025 - Main races (10KM, 23KM, 50KM, 100KM).
  • Can I register on-site or on the day of the race?
    The last day for registration is 23/01/2025 at 9:00 PM. Availability cannot be guaranteed, as registration will close once tickets sell out. Please register early to secure your spot.
  • Can I give away or sell my bib?
    Bib transfers are allowed until 01/01/2025 by sending a request for change to info@racearabia.sa. After this date, no name transfers are permitted.
  • Can I get a refund if I wasn't able to make it to the race?
    The race refund policy does not allow refund to be processed to any participant unless there's a medical emergency that caused the participant not to be part of the race. A medical report has to be provided to be reviewed by the race management for a decision to be made.
  • What will the race kit include?

  • Where can I find the race maps for each race?

  • What is the cut-off time for each distance?
    Cut-off times will be announced soon.
  • Do I need to have completed a qualifying event to participate in the 50KM and 100KM?
    There are no mandatory qualifying events, but we strongly recommend participants have completed at least one 50+KM off-road event.
  • Where can I find the athlete guide?
    Athlete guide will be published soon
  • Will there be a drop bag area to leave our bags?
    Yes, all race categories have a drop bag service. The designated booth at the event area will be clearly signposted and closes 30 minutes before each race starts.
  • What type of running shoes are recommended for the race?
    For distances exceeding 10KM: Specialized trail shoes are strongly recommended for support and traction on gravel, rocks, and sand. For the 10KM race: Standard running shoes are sufficient in dry conditions.
  • What will I get for participating?
    Finisher medal, t-shirt, free photos, and personalized videos for all participants who finish their race.
  • Is there going to be prizes for the winners?
    Awards will be presented for Day 2 races only. Cash prizes and trophies will be awarded to the top 3 females and males in each race, and trophies will also be given to age group winners for Day 2 races only.
  • What are the Visa requirements to enter Saudi?
    E-visas are available for nationals of eligible countries. Start your visa process here.
  • What is the local currency? Can I exchange foreign currency here?
    The local currency is Saudi Riyals (SAR). ATMs are available in AlUla and currency exchange services is available at AlUla airport.
  • What are the weather conditions in AlUla?
    Average winter temperatures: High of 70°F (21°C) and low of 42°F (5°C). Pack warm clothing for the colder evenings.
